We investigate benefits of cross-band vs mono-band 3R regeneration in C+L optical networks. We present a heuristic algorithm to assess benefits of cross-band 3Rs in terms of served traffic and 3R cost across three topologies, showing up to 20% traffic increase with limited additional cost.
