High order surface impedance boundary conditions are introduced in a two-dimensional variational formulation in terms of magnetic vector potential. The formulation is then discretized using the isogeometric analysis method, based on non-uniform rational B-splines, allowing an efficient computation of the curvature of the conductor surface. The formulation is validated with some test cases, already solved with the boundary element method in a previous paper.

Abstract

High order surface impedance boundary conditions are introduced in a two-dimensional variational formulation in terms of magnetic vector potential. The formulation is then discretized using the isogeometric analysis method, based on non-uniform rational B-splines, allowing an efficient computation of the curvature of the conductor surface. The formulation is validated with some test cases, already solved with the boundary element method in a previous paper.
