While post-installed anchors are becoming widely used in retrofit and strengthening of buildings in seismic zones, only in recent years several investigations were carried out to investigate the behavior of post-installed anchors under seismic action. As a consequence, both building codes and product qualification standards were reviewed or are currently undergoing a review process. The present paper mainly focuses on the current design provisions in Europe (as EOTA Technical Report) while Eurocodes are currently under review. The most recent novelties under discussion are presented, with a focus on both the new design criteria and the critical factors to be accounted in the design of the post-installed fastening in seismic zones.
