Abstract

Do we really fully enjoy the “power” of the digital age? Which portion of available technologies is fully exploited? Of course I do not refer to single “spot” or “happy islands” I refer to true innovation through a systemic approach to the added value offered by new technologies. The present contribution will outline the evolution of e-content and explore future trends. In the last period of time we found books with annexed CD, books plus on line in depth information, on line portals, Apps and more, is this enough to take full advantage from present technology? The smart use of technology is often driven from the grassroots web, social web, Wikipedia, etc. Less hardware more content and services No more hundreds of books but tablets or laptops with thousands of books Mobile phone market if only spots not so useful when generalised is a real revolution Once upon a time email were received centrally and than printed and distributed by hand as regular mail, in doing so we miss major part of the added value.
