We analyze the performance of the Truncated PluriGaussian Simulation Method (TP) for the reconstruction of the internal hydrofacies architecture in a large scale aquifer system. This allows including conceptual geological information in the procedure. The study is performed in a Monte Carlo framework. The effects of adopting a TP or a traditional indicator-based approach are assessed with reference to the Monte Carlo analysis of a pumping test performed in the system.

Abstract
We analyze the performance of the Truncated PluriGaussian Simulation Method (TP) for the reconstruction of the internal hydrofacies architecture in a large scale aquifer system. This allows including conceptual geological information in the procedure. The study is performed in a Monte Carlo framework. The effects of adopting a TP or a traditional indicator-based approach are assessed with reference to the Monte Carlo analysis of a pumping test performed in the system.File in questo prodotto:
