Active and semi-active suspension systems are widely used in the automotive industry and several control strategies have been proposed in the literature both concerning ride comfort and handling. An active suspension system aimed at enhancing the handling performance of a sport's vehicle is presented in this paper. Since cornering forces are strongly dependant on the camber angle , especially when the tire is working at large slip angles, a logic based on the active control of the camber of tires has been developed in this work. In order to further enhance performances, active anti-roll bars have been added to the camber control system.

Abstract
Active and semi-active suspension systems are widely used in the automotive industry and several control strategies have been proposed in the literature both concerning ride comfort and handling. An active suspension system aimed at enhancing the handling performance of a sport's vehicle is presented in this paper. Since cornering forces are strongly dependant on the camber angle , especially when the tire is working at large slip angles, a logic based on the active control of the camber of tires has been developed in this work. In order to further enhance performances, active anti-roll bars have been added to the camber control system.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
