DEXARM is a space robotic arm, designed and developed by an industrial consortium led by Selex Galileo, on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA). This paper describes in detail the main issues related to the integration and testing of the DEXARM engineering model. The results achieved are discussed, in relation to the design choices (covering mechanical and electrical design, sensors, actuators and control).
