A boat is a floating architecture that can move and change course and bearings; it follows that interior designers working on board have to face whit a light that can change unexpectedly, so the lighting project on board becomes a stimulating challenge. The paper presents and analises some projects,selected because of their ability to manage the natural light as a topic, to transform it in a design material used to advantage it’s changeable nature; in these projects, the natural light works whit the artificial one reaching remarkable results.
