Newly homed in what used to be an old power station, the Mario Merz Foundation in Turin, Italy, promotes young artists and has a study center, an archive of their works, and a full schedule of exhibitions on contemporary research and experimentation while at the same time conserving and displaying Merz's own works, which are set out around the spacious premises. The foundation, which opened in April 2005, ensures that the old industrial architecture interacts with the works of art in a solemnly civic way. Abstract
The building's central core pulsates with life again by means of wide glass windows, and there are no predetermined pathways inside. From: database Art Full Text (H.W.
