Durability of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) is a crucial topic as far the use of this material for structural purposes is concerned. An extensive experimental investigation has been carried out by Magnetti Building, in the framework of a wider research project focused on the use of SFRC in precast structural elements. Tests outlined the key role played by matrix porosity, fibre microstructure and reactions occurring at the fibre-matrix interface. A proposal of design recommendations is finally drafted taking advantage of the previously obtained results.

Abstract
Durability of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) is a crucial topic as far the use of this material for structural purposes is concerned. An extensive experimental investigation has been carried out by Magnetti Building, in the framework of a wider research project focused on the use of SFRC in precast structural elements. Tests outlined the key role played by matrix porosity, fibre microstructure and reactions occurring at the fibre-matrix interface. A proposal of design recommendations is finally drafted taking advantage of the previously obtained results.File in questo prodotto:
