Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) is a powerful technique for probing molecular environments and biological interactions through fluorescence decay measurements. We present a fast FLIM system based on compressive sensing (CS) and a single-pixel camera (SPC) for real-time imaging of biological dynamic processes. The system employs a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) detection module that allows high-throughput FLIM measurements. We achieve acquisition rates up to 10 frames per second (fps). This acquisition speed makes it possible to follow in real time the dynamics of most biological processes, enabling more accurate and specific analyses for new biomedical studies.

Abstract
Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) is a powerful technique for probing molecular environments and biological interactions through fluorescence decay measurements. We present a fast FLIM system based on compressive sensing (CS) and a single-pixel camera (SPC) for real-time imaging of biological dynamic processes. The system employs a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) detection module that allows high-throughput FLIM measurements. We achieve acquisition rates up to 10 frames per second (fps). This acquisition speed makes it possible to follow in real time the dynamics of most biological processes, enabling more accurate and specific analyses for new biomedical studies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
