The paper presents the LearnBIØN project, which aims to disseminate sustainable practices through the organisation of self-construction workshops. The project seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by promoting learning through direct experience and active participant engagement. It emphasises the importance of a learning-by-doing approach that effectively integrates theory and practice to impart knowledge. This methodology underscores the crucial role of experience in acquiring authentic understanding, which is particularly significant in architecture, where integrating theoretical and practical knowledge is essential for developing relevant skills. The distinctive characteristics of the selected workshop locations, especially areas with substantial social vulnerability, are explored. The focus then shifts to two of the eleven workshops conducted, specifically those managed by the ARCò cooperative, which are closely aligned with the principles of circularity. Through the description of these experiences, the complexity and importance of the relationships between self-construction and circularity are revealed.

Abstract
Through the description of these experiences, the complexity and importance of the relationships between self-construction and circularity are revealed.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
