The main objective of the research, conducted in collaboration with Comelit S.p.A., was the innovative design of an indoor video intercom system, improving its usability for both installers and end users. The user interface represents the fundamental point of contact between the technological artifact and the user, significantly influencing the overall user experience. The adopted approach is based on UX/UI Design methodologies, following a co-design process structured into research and project development phases. Through an in-depth analysis of user interactions and needs, the research laid the groundwork for creating a more intuitive, accessible, and effective system. The project’s innovation lies in the synergy between academic methodology and corporate know-how. Design is not regarded merely as an aesthetic component, but as a strategic driver for innovation, contributing to the definition of development models that can be replicated across different business contexts.
