The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for calculating the load on a tire of a work vehicle comprising obtaining an orientation signal that indicates the orientation of a distance measuring sensor in relation to the ground surface, and in response to determining that an angle between the orientation of the distance measuring sensor and the ground surface is within a predetermined range, obtaining, from the distance measuring sensor, a first distance signal indicating the distance between the inner surface of the tire and the rim and calculating a load on the tire based on the measured distance signal and the pressure on the tire.

Abstract
