The article examines some aspects of the problem of spatiality in the works of I. I. Leonidov in the journal Contemporary Architecture. The magazine is a clearly articulated conceptual space. It had the largest international sphere of influence among Soviet architectural publications of those years. It published projects by major foreign architects. Graphic design was created by A. M. Gan and other designers. The design reflects the basic principles of constructivism. The article identifies the principles for including the works of I. I. Leonidov into the structure of the magazine.
