La tormentata vicenda della chiesa e dell'ex monastero di San Bernardo in Milano, sede del Collegio Calchi Taeggi. Studi e rilievi per la conoscenza, la conservazione e il riuso

The paper presents the results of some research campaigns in the archives, surveys and design activities carried out on the complex formerly housing the Collegio Calchi Taeggi in Milan, within the framework of the Restoration Laboratory of the Master's Degree course in Architecture (ADU) at the Polytechnic of Milan. The complex, formerly a monastery, suppressed in 1784, is today only partially used, and includes the remains of the monastic church, which collapsed in 1971, which still require arrangement and adequate conservation interventions. A comprehensive reflection on the possible redevelopment of the entire complex, located in the centre of Milan and owned by the municipality, is necessary. This includes considering the insertion of new functions that are compatible with its historical significance, materials, and the needs of the community.
