LA RIGENERAZIONE DELLO STUDENT HOUSING POST COVID-19. LA RESIDENZA POLIMI “LEONARDO DA VINCI” THE REGENERATION OF STUDENT HOUSING POST COVID-19. THE POLIMI "LEONARDO DA VINCI" RESIDENCE

The pandemic put the Student Housing model in crisis, making it urgent to rethink the organizational, functional, and managerial aspects, with particular attention to the models that meet needs, the use of collective spaces, and security levels. Within HOME_Lab_Innovative Solution for Student Accommodation, established by the authors at the ABC Department, a project proposal for the redevelopment of the "Leonardo Da Vinci" Student Residence has been made, in collaboration with the Technical Building Area (ATE) of the Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi), also considering the resources Recovery and Resilience Plan #NextGenerationItalia (PNRR). The contribution critically reports the results of this research activity by proposing possible design solutions to the recurring problems of this housing typology.
