Abstract
Universities Orientation Offices organize many activities to bring high school students closer to the university world and illustrate their educational offer. The School of Design at Politecnico di Milano organized activities for the Alternanza Scuola Lavoro. Fourth-year students took part in the activities of the Laboratories of the Design Department. Moreover, between June and July, a Summer School was organized; two weeks in which students attended for a day lesson of every course degree at the Bachelor: Product, Interior, Communication and Fashion. During the Open Days, the university has been stormed by thousands of students interested in getting information and understanding the teaching paths offered by courses, attending presentations, talking to tutors, and living the campus atmosphere. The Play Design! project was created to communicate the Italian and Milanese Design culture better, offering fun and an informal way of learning (Anastasiadis, Lampropoulo, & Siaka, 2018; Read, 2015) and bringing students closer to the School of Design courses during the agenda of events organized in the campus and downtown Milan. The project resulted in the creation of two mobile games: D.Hunt. Design Hunt is a mobile treasure hunt, while D.Learn. Design Learn is a role-playing mobile game.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
