The present invention relates to an adduct comprising at least one transition metal and an adduct between an sp2 carbon allotrope and a pyrrole compound. In particular, the invention relates to an adduct comprising at least one transition metal and hydrophilic adducts between an sp2 carbon allotrope and a pyrrole compound. Such adduct is preferentially used as a catalytic system in a chemical reaction such as C-H activation, in particular the Hydrogen Isotope Exchange with isotopes such as deuterium and tritium.
