Cascina Sella Nuova is located in the south-west suburbs of Milan, on the borders of the Parco Agricolo Sud, in a flat area, historically with an agricultural vocation. Bibliographic sources attest the presence of a first nucleus of the farmhouse already in the fifteenth century, but many were the extensions and transformations that affected the farmhouse over the centuries. Abandoned for decades, the complex is now in a very poor state of conservation and many of the agricultural structures have partially collapsed. In order to recover the farmhouse, owned by the municipality, between 2019 and 2020 the Politecnico di Milano conducted a series of studies and surveys aimed at supporting the design of a conservation and reuse of the building that would also take into account the context in which the farmhouse is located today, which is profoundly different from what it was until the first half of the twentieth century. The results of the studies are mainly related to the Casa Padronale and the adjoining porticoed building.

Abstract
The results of the studies are mainly related to the Casa Padronale and the adjoining porticoed building.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
