Knowledge is a key factor in design processes for improving the quality of the environment and increasing urban resilience. In these contexts, the evaluation of alternatives and the identification of the most effective solutions according to needs and criticalities are based on a multidisciplinary, composite and articulated analytical framework, capable of considering the environment in its complexity and local specificity. The dimension of the urban project is integrated with contributions from other disciplines (hydraulic engineering, botany, geology and geomorphology, meteoclimatology, etc.), to read the conditions of the habitat and interpret the evolutionary trends of the natural environment and the dynamics of the anthropic transformation of the territory.
La conoscenza rappresenta un fattore chiave nei processi progettuali per il miglioramento della qualità dell’ambiente e l’incremento della resilienza urbana. In tali contesti la valutazione di alternative e l’individuazione delle soluzioni più efficaci in funzione di precise esigenze e criticità si fondano su un quadro analitico multidisciplinare, composito e articolato, in grado di considerare l’ambiente nella sua complessità e specificità locale. Alla dimensione del progetto urbano si integrano apporti di numerose altre discipline (ingegneria idraulica, botanica, geologia e geomorfologia, meteoclimatologia, ecc.), per leggere le condizioni dell’habitat e interpretare le tendenze evolutive dell’ambiente naturale e le dinamiche di trasformazione antropica del territorio.
