Assessing the quality of life of people means to evaluate their physical, mental, and social well-being. The first part of this work summarizes the most accredited definitions of wellness, the related models, and the tools that can be found in the literature to assess quality of life. Then, it introduces three indicators that can be easily obtained from localization data to monitor some aspects of wellness. The advent of technology in this sector allows continuous and low-cost patient monitoring. This scenario applies particularly well in the context of health-care facilities, where doctors can thus concentrate on interpreting the data, resulting in a reduction in their workload.

Abstract
Assessing the quality of life of people means to evaluate their physical, mental, and social well-being. The first part of this work summarizes the most accredited definitions of wellness, the related models, and the tools that can be found in the literature to assess quality of life. Then, it introduces three indicators that can be easily obtained from localization data to monitor some aspects of wellness. The advent of technology in this sector allows continuous and low-cost patient monitoring. This scenario applies particularly well in the context of health-care facilities, where doctors can thus concentrate on interpreting the data, resulting in a reduction in their workload.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
