The essay documents the results of the survey and analysis work carried out - in the context of a wider investigation of the Italianizante architectural heritage in Buenos Aires - on the school buildings designed and built by the Italo-Argentine engineer Carlos Morra. Starting from the census and cataloging campaign of the 23 schools still surviving among those built in Buenos Aires between 1885 and 1904, some case studies have been selected and analyzed in detail, through the tools of representation, from the point of view of their relationship with the urban plot, their typological layout and stylistic and constructive features.
Il saggio documenta gli esiti del lavoro di rilievo e analisi svolto– nel quadro di una più ampia ricerca sul patrimonio architettonico di matrice Italianizante a Buenos Aires – sugli edifici scolastici progettati e costruiti dall’ingegnere italo-argentino Carlos Morra. A partire dalla campagna di censimento e schedatura delle 23 scuole ancora superstiti fra quelle realizzate a Buenos Aires tra il 1885 e il 1904, sono stati selezionati alcuni casi studio, analizzati dettagliatamente, attraverso gli strumenti della rappresentazione, dal punto di vista del rapporto con la trama urbana, dell’impianto tipologico e dei caratteri stilistici e costruttivi.
