Abstract

Within the Digital Single Market Strategy, the European Commission has promoted the Digitising European Industry initiative, to reinforce the competitiveness in digital technologies and ensure that every business in Europe. Although many existing initiatives in the field of digital skills and learning factories, engineering curricula still lacks a set of advanced and usable set of tools. The VLFT is an Erasmus+ project focused on the development and integration of a set of digital tools to support advanced engineering education in manufacturing. The aim of the VLFT is to bring back to the engineering students the results of research activities in the field of digital manufacturing.
