La chiusura per dissesti statici, la programmazione del recupero, gli interventi manutentivi nel tempo: esperienza su alcune chiese della bassa Val d'Intelvi (CO)

The analyzed churches can be compared first of all for the damage of the vaulted structures. The main cause is the loss of the contrast to the horizontal thrusts of the vaults, due to the cutting of the wooden chains in correspondence of the triumphal arches, together with the drastic reduction of the care and maintenance, in a context of scarce economic resources. In this case, thanks to Fondazione Cariplo and CEI, it has been possible to launch a recovery programme based on four phases: analysis and recognition of critical issues; assessment of the conditions and functional/performance capabilities of the construction elements; modulation of the intervention programme, establishing priorities and procedures (with priority given to static issues); maintenance planning, drafting of a verification, control and monitoring plan.
