This paper investigates the seismic resilience of bridges and transportation networks under uncertainty by taking into account the combined effects of seismic and environmental hazards. A probabilistic approach to seismic assessment of aging bridge structures and resilience analysis of highway networks is presented. The time-variant seismic capacity associated with several limit states is evaluated through nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis for the deteriorating bridges in the network. The level of seismic damage is related to traffic restrictions and a traffic analysis is carried out over the entire road network to compute the system functionality and the corresponding seismic resilience under prescribed post-event recovery scenarios. The proposed approach is applied to reinforced concrete bridges exposed to corrosion considering different types of highway networks with detours and re-entry links.

Abstract
The proposed approach is applied to reinforced concrete bridges exposed to corrosion considering different types of highway networks with detours and re-entry links.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
