Abstract: NOVELTY - Manufacture of self-standing film involves carrying out cathodic and/or anodic electrochemical/electrophoretic deposition of natural or synthetic macromolecules on a working electrode in the form of micro-patterned conductive template having specified size/dimensions of lumen of the mesh, and mechanically removing the self-standing film of variable and controlled thickness by a controlled through-porosity micro-pattern from the working electrode. The working electrode is immersed in an electrolyte solution comprising macromolecules. USE - Manufacture of self-standing film (claimed) which is useful in porous biomaterial application, system for drug-release and biosensor, and deposition of biopolymer and biological product, and for preparing bandages for regenerating and repairing biological tissues, performing transduction of signals and biofunctionalization of surfaces, and creating vesicles and composite coatings for tissue engineering. ADVANTAGE - The method provides self-standing film by easy, economical, quick, and simple process in short period of time.
