The aim of the research is to create a simplified method of analysis and evaluation of the vulnerability of complex buildings that outline the small Italian historical centers, in orderto preserve their integrity and to prevent damages made by the earthquake. The preservation of these historic buildings is affected by their complexity, due to the specific characteristics of their evolution over the centuries, influenced by the soil morphology. For this reason it has been implemented as a preventive measure, a simple and fast analysis method that, through the detection of few specific building parameters, allows for the identification of different vulnerability categories. Through an accurate study carried out on four historic centers near L’Aquila, a parameter was defined, able to cross check the results after the 2009 earthquake.

Abstract
The aim of the research is to create a simplified method of analysis and evaluation of the vulnerability of complex buildings that outline the small Italian historical centers, in orderto preserve their integrity and to prevent damages made by the earthquake. The preservation of these historic buildings is affected by their complexity, due to the specific characteristics of their evolution over the centuries, influenced by the soil morphology. For this reason it has been implemented as a preventive measure, a simple and fast analysis method that, through the detection of few specific building parameters, allows for the identification of different vulnerability categories. Through an accurate study carried out on four historic centers near L’Aquila, a parameter was defined, able to cross check the results after the 2009 earthquake.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
