The diffusion of electric vehicles (EV) needs to be supported by a strong technological development in charging infrastructures. Even more, in order to achieve the goal of near zero emissions it is also necessary to supply EV with the so called green energy. The aim of this research is to study and evaluate the integration of electric vehicles (EV) into grids supported by renewable energy, especially photovoltaic systems (PV). In Particular, a mathematical model to evaluate the feasibility of electric vehicles integration into the current grid when PV system is the main energy provider is proposed. Abstract

The possibilities and benefits that can be obtained through this solution are examined considering two different scenarios represented by Italy and Spain. The analysis evaluates different aspects on energy related to photovoltaic system production. The study is based on real data collected in the two countries and a case study is presented
