The progress that distinguishes the contemporary age has allowed humanity to live in a world more and more comfortable, all this at the disadvantage of the exploitation of non-renewable energy and the health of the planet Earth. In construction industry, therefore, it is possible to observe an improvement in the matter of reducing energy consumption and the emissions of pollution. This is made possible with the concept of Smart House. In this regard, the aim of this work is to analyze a traditional building where it is required a property renovation of the electrical system. In this case, it is shown the effectiveness to choose of a home automation system both the point of view of the comfort offered and of the economical aspect. Finally, it is proposed the energy efficiency of the building made through the replacement of electrical appliances at energy-saving.
