This work deals with the sensitivity of the frequency response of differential lines driven by an external field to specific testing conditions that, determining strong variations in the line response, may impair the comparison between experimental measurements (carried out in an anechoic chamber) and theoretical predictions obtained by analytical models. In particular, for the typical RS test conditions foreseen by Standards adopted in the aerospace sector, a strong sensitivity to uncertainty in antenna positioning is observed in both the common and differential mode frequency-responses.

Abstract

This work deals with the sensitivity of the frequency response of differential lines driven by an external field to specific testing conditions that, determining strong variations in the line response, may impair the comparison between experimental measurements (carried out in an anechoic chamber) and theoretical predictions obtained by analytical models. In particular, for the typical RS test conditions foreseen by Standards adopted in the aerospace sector, a strong sensitivity to uncertainty in antenna positioning is observed in both the common and differential mode frequency-responses.
