The emerging need of energy refurbishment of European building stock, in particular for residential buildings, requires innovative solutions to achieve high performance at competitive costs and low impact on the users. As part of a project funded by the European Commission within the Seventh Framework Programme, a new prefabricated panel has been developed for the energy retrofitting with exterior insulation. It was designed especially for the existing stock built between the fifties and the eighties, whose buildings are made of reinforced concrete structure and infill masonry brick in the empty box. This memory shows the results of the analyses carried out on two panel solutions with reference to mechanical properties, hygrothermal response and environmental impact. The research work also includes the production of lab scale samples for preliminary testing. The analyses were performed in the main section and in correspondence of critical points (joints between panels and anchor points to the wall) in order to drive the development of the detail design.

Abstract
The analyses were performed in the main section and in correspondence of critical points (joints between panels and anchor points to the wall) in order to drive the development of the detail design.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
