In this paper, the role of crowdsourcing in emergency events is considered and an example of the use of crowdsourcing data for emergency report is presented. The case study is based on Tweets coming from common people and public agencies concerning earthquakes in Italy over a ten-months period: the statistics of the results and the reliability assessment are discussed.
