The effect of plastic deformation was investigated on hydrogen permeation of cold rolled or tensile specimen of X65 pipeline steel. The diffusion coefficient of hydrogen was measured using three techniques: Subsequent Transients, Partial Transients and Desorption Technique. Cold work decreased hydrogen diffusivity and increased hydrogen concentration in the steel. Results were compared with our previous results concerning the effect of different steel microstructures on diffusivity of hydrogen on the same steel.

Abstract
The effect of plastic deformation was investigated on hydrogen permeation of cold rolled or tensile specimen of X65 pipeline steel. The diffusion coefficient of hydrogen was measured using three techniques: Subsequent Transients, Partial Transients and Desorption Technique. Cold work decreased hydrogen diffusivity and increased hydrogen concentration in the steel. Results were compared with our previous results concerning the effect of different steel microstructures on diffusivity of hydrogen on the same steel.File in questo prodotto:
