The object of this study is to provide a summary of the controls during the execution of cast-inplace reinforced concrete structures. The analysis of the state-of-the-art building control in other European countries leads to the identification of methods, techniques and tools for verification and control on execution – according to three different levels of inspection (contractor, site inspector, surveyors). After referring to other recent researches on quality in construction, aimed at identifying a balance between cost of control and cost of defects, a comparative analysis between the control-in-execution system in Italy and in other European countries is presented (specially referring to France, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Norway, Sweden). An example of inspections and acceptance criteria for direct foundations has been recapitulated in a table, ensuing from the comparison between the operating procedures of each actor involved in the construction process. The comparative analysis among the in-execution control systems in other European countries has prompted some suggestions to improve the Italian one: in fact preparing typological control plans for the different inspection levels can be an useful and valuable starting point to draw up a quality control report properly tailored to a specific operational case.

Abstract
The comparative analysis among the in-execution control systems in other European countries has prompted some suggestions to improve the Italian one: in fact preparing typological control plans for the different inspection levels can be an useful and valuable starting point to draw up a quality control report properly tailored to a specific operational case.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
