Section 1 and 2. In the text, the new contemporary paradigm of the prosumer society is interpreted as a path to the objective of self-sustainable local development, deriving from the possibilities and constraints of today’s sceneries, and stresses the role of environmental design as the most suitable means to address the typical resilience of settlements to external shocks produced by new technologies and their material and cultural implications. In this framework, the contributions of the tools and methods presented in the following chapters are presented. Section 3. An outline is here made of the most suitable environmental early analysis tools available in today’s professional scenery to support the early phases of solar energy systems design, with a specific reference to open source and freeware tools. A suitable set of tools is here proposed and analysed with reference to typical design activities and is organized on criteria based on scale, function types, degree of resolution and ease of use.

Abstract
A suitable set of tools is here proposed and analysed with reference to typical design activities and is organized on criteria based on scale, function types, degree of resolution and ease of use.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
