A modal approach and a fem model, suitable to reproduce subspan oscillations in the time domain, are described. A span equipped with a quad bundle is studied and the results of both methods are presented and compared. The results of the time domain approaches are in good agreement with those obtained with the energy based approach, working in the frequency domain.

Abstract

A modal approach and a fem model, suitable to reproduce subspan oscillations in the time domain, are described.
