The text interprets the theme of transformation of the contemporary city through the figures of the 'track', the 'sign' and the 'ruin'. The city itself is interpreted as a written text, formed by interfering levels, corresponding to the different stages of its development. In this sense, the issue of trans-scription of the signs is read as a principle of re-generation of the places, where memory becomes the main material of the project.

Abstract

The text interprets the theme of transformation of the contemporary city through the figures of the 'track', the 'sign' and the 'ruin'. The city itself is interpreted as a written text, formed by interfering levels, corresponding to the different stages of its development. In this sense, the issue of trans-scription of the signs is read as a principle of re-generation of the places, where memory becomes the main material of the project.
