The project, "Milan Archaeology for Expo 2015. Towards a valorization of the archaeological heritage of the city", intends to develop processes of knowledge and planned conservation of urban archaeological areas with coordinated maintenance actions, promotion and communication of the different sites present in Milan historic centre. All this sites will be connected in a network system built for a larger project that it will increase the accessibility and enhancement. The project, activated by different institutions and organizations (Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Lombardy, Lombardy Region, Milan Diocese, Milan Municipality) with the scientific support at Politecnico di Milano, Università Cattolica e Università degli Studi di Milano, sees the presence and interest of four parishes (S. Eustorgio, leader project; S. Simpliciano, S. Lorenzo Maggiore and S. Nazaro in Brolo) . These parishes are custodians of the most ancient Milan basilicas, they preserve significant traces of Paleochristian phase. The goals aim at the implementation of the archaeological heritage catalogue, at the identification - through programmed inspections - about the risk conditions and the priorities for action, with the construction of guidelines for conservation project on the Milan archaeological sites.
