Abstract— Entrepreneurial opportunities are a crucial starting point of the entrepreneurial process. However, reliable and replicable methods for systematically searching, framing, developing and assessing opportunities are still undeveloped. This article describes an action-research case study based on an experimental workshop performed in Beijing, China, in the context of an entrepreneurial platform called DREAM:IN, where service design tools were used as frameworks to generate, develop, prototype and assess business ideas that could potentially become business opportunities.
