This work deals with the issue of giving a comprehensive analysis of the uncertainty linked to PSV measurements, considering the effects of experimental and image-processing parameters on it. Results of experimental tests in simplified reference conditions and in water channel are shown and analysed in order to give a comprehensive picture of the uncertainty budget in PSV techniques.
