Abstract

Near-Infrared Spectroscopy candidates as a useful tool for the assessment of residual cortical functionality in the brain. The use of this technique, in combination with the protocol for motor stimulation proposed hereby, has allowed the identification of one metabolic focus of response to motor stimulation in one child in minimally conscious state.
