Teorie, tecniche e culture della rappresentazione contemporanea Theories, techniques and cultures of contemporary repreesentation

This paper will take the general theme of the conference as an opportunity to open a disciplinary discussion about the issue structure of the “Disegno” area, today included within a broader macro-that merges Disegno, Restauro and Storia dell’Architettura. Beyond the MIUR contingencies bringing together different disciplines in order to standardize as much as possible the Italian university system in an international context, it may be useful, however, begin a debate which starts from the declaration to review the contents with respect to the interdisciplinary debate about architecture, in its various scales, in a perspective able to look beyond the academic "fences" and to react specialized and non requests by society and contemporary culture. It is in the first instance to combine the subject of the theory in relationship with that of the technique, in a plural declination of both, focusing on the innovative aspects without forgetting the traditional areas, in which the devices of representation, increasingly related to the information and communication aspects, then cultural ones, can play a crucial role.
