The Milanese interiors presented here recount one particular aspect of Giulio Minoletti’s work. They combine some of the themes found in many of his other works which in forty years of intense activity ranged across multiple fields. But it was in housing that he most fully expressed his principles, his idea of space, a true vision of life in the city. In these projects certain “guiding ideas” can be identified in Minoletti’s work: his continuous search for a relation with nature, achieved by effacing partition walls, the use of large windows and skilful placing of mirrors; the visual continuity of the interior spaces, with the creation of axes of light and “void” axes intersecting with “solids”; and the association between interiors and exteriors. All these bear witness to his constant and tenacious search for antibodies for the venoms of modernity that traverse his entire work.

Abstract
All these bear witness to his constant and tenacious search for antibodies for the venoms of modernity that traverse his entire work.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
