In the present paper, houly values of ambient air temperature avialable for 47 locations in India have been analysed, and then the new values of constants for the correlation developed by Erbs et al. (1983) have been obtained. The modified correlations generate more accurate values of the monthly average of the hourly values of the ambient temperature.
