The performance of a conventional solar air-heating collector, designed as per the specifications outlined by the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES), India has been studied theoreticcaly. An anlysis has been presented ; numerical calculations have been made to simulate the system. The effect of the mass flow rate and solar irradiance on the air temperature gain has also been discussed. Finally, figures of pressure drops and corresponding required pumping power to operate the system have been presented.

Abstract
