The paper analyzes the historical, architectural and landscape components of the First World War memorials and connected commemorative parks and gardens, particularly considering the decay and alteration problems, in order to define preservation and management policies. Regarding the vegetation features and the remembrance parks and avenues it underlines their potentialities like public green spaces and ecological corridors. The focus is to promote and valorize this system where cultural, commemorative, natural and landscape significances are united.
