From a broad survey on the mathematical assumptions of the symmetric theory the paper shows similarities and differences between logical-mathematical act and creative activity which characterizes the textile designer. Based on solid foundations geometric-numerals, the weaving and the textile printing, in their junctions within production and materials, constitute the conceptual framework of textile creation. The textile designer through the detailed study of the techniques and the use of different modes of expression of rhythm, composition, disposition, variation, motivs, pattern, colours involved in textile design, power inexhaustible creativity that responds to the need, which has always historically expressed by human, of variety and continuous renewal of forms. The study of the history of textile design, very particular within the disciplines of drawing, since it is closely connected with the technological evolution that has supported the evolution of style,s is supported by manuals that since the nineteenth century has always accompanied this profession. Art, culture, glamour, style are always interwined with production tecniques that enable new modes of expression.
