The architecture of the infrastructure today assumes a multiple character; it allows access to remote or central areas, in the compact or in the dispersed city, with a wide array of characters and forms, site-specific or autonomous, oriented to redefine the places crossed by or, conversely, induced by the features of the places connected. The infrastructure is sometimes able to determine new topologies and combinations, monumental forms and new centralities, sometimes it tends to disappear, strategically fading into the fine grain of the existing fabric, subdivided into systems or sequences of objects; or to colonize and cannibalize other infrastructures in a state of disposal through the launching of other programs, not necessarily related to the transport network but made possible by it, as diverse as retail, entertainment, education, housing. Mobility replaces speed, accessibility gains on positioning. It promotes a pervasive drive for an incrementally nomadic way of life, switching the experience of dwellers to that of commuters, involved in mutant layers of conditions, needs and visions, both individual and collective.

Abstract
It promotes a pervasive drive for an incrementally nomadic way of life, switching the experience of dwellers to that of commuters, involved in mutant layers of conditions, needs and visions, both individual and collective.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
