A multi-sensor network for landslide monitoring is under development at Tongji University, Shanghai. The current implementation is setup on a landslide model located in the main university campus. Here the network was tested during some experiments where a landslide runoff was triggered by means of artificial rainfall. The sensor network is based on a wireless architecture that at the moment is used to broadcast data from the experiment site to a remote control room in the university. In future, the same structure will be installed on two real ground slopes in Sichuan province. Current testing will be useful to understand how signals can be used in integrated manner, and to understand communication problems in a protected environment.

Abstract
A multi-sensor network for landslide monitoring is under development at Tongji University, Shanghai. The current implementation is setup on a landslide model located in the main university campus. Here the network was tested during some experiments where a landslide runoff was triggered by means of artificial rainfall. The sensor network is based on a wireless architecture that at the moment is used to broadcast data from the experiment site to a remote control room in the university. In future, the same structure will be installed on two real ground slopes in Sichuan province. Current testing will be useful to understand how signals can be used in integrated manner, and to understand communication problems in a protected environment.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
